According to the National Coatings Industry Information Center, China ’s coatings production exceeded the 20 million tons mark for the first time in 2017, reaching 20.41 million tons, compared with the adjusted industrial output of 18.172 million tons in 2016, an increase of 12.3%.
During the same period, China's total coating product exports were 201,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%; total imports were 187,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%; apparent consumption was 20.396 million tons, an adjusted increase of 12.3% year-on-year.
